The Danvers Swampwalk is a public trail that consists of a one-quarter mile-long boardwalk that traverses a portion ofMore Leach's Swamp. The wooden pile-supported walkway was built by volunteer labor, grants and private donations. It offers several scenic lookout points. The swamp walk is connected to the Danvers Rail Trail, and has two access points from the abandoned MBTA railroad bed. The project was completed in 2012.

The town purchased this lot in 2008 for just over $1 million from the MBTA. Half the funds were raised through numerousMore private donations the town received in order to pave over the gravel lot. The bulk of those donations came from the Maple Street Congregational Church and the owners of the Cherry Street Fish Market; parishioners and customers at the market routinely use the parking spaces there. Local banks in town also collectively pitched in $100,000. The town had leased the lot since 1979. Parking is limited to two hours from Monday to Saturday.
