Massachusetts State Police Danvers
485 Maple St, Danvers, MA 01923

The facility off Maple Street and Route 1, serves both as the barracks for the Danvers unit and the headquarters forMore Troop A, which covers the northeastern quadrant of Massachusetts, nearly 1,000 square miles. Station A-6 patrols over 169 square miles and 15 cities and towns through both Route 128 and Route 1. Troop A's primary responsibility is to police major highways and secondary roadways, but the division is also tasked with patrolling state parkways as well as state parks and reservations. State troopers often team up with local police departments to share resources and partner on traffic and investigative operations.

The barracks moved to its present location in 1997. There was a Lynnfield barracks (A-7) on Route 1 from 1956 to 1982 that moved up the highway to Peabody in a new facility. In 1994, the troop headquarters moved from Framingham to Danvers and a sub-station was built to house the former Peabody unit. The patrol area also includes the 700-acre Breakheart Reservation in Saugus. The westernmost area meets up with the Concord unit at Route 3 in Burlington.
