Pole Down, Lanes Closed, Traffic Snarled on 114

One pole is down and another is leaning after a truck apparently wrecked; 114 is down to two lanes in the area of Maddy's Car Wash.

A wreck on the Danvers-Peabody line has the road down to one lane in each direction and traffic snarled. One utility pole is snapped off near Maddy's Car Wash and another is leaning over in the area of Outback Steak House, according to Robert Gates, local editor for Patch who is on the scene. This is the 300-block of Andover Street. The five-lane thorougfare is reduced to one lane in each direction as both eastbound lanes and the center lane are shut down, Gates reports. Peabody, Danvers and State Police are working the incident along with crews from Peabody Electric & Light. Get breaking news alerts as they happen by signing up for the Danvers Patch newsletter.
