Spero Demakes opens new restaurant in honor of best friend Matt Nickerson.
Fans of the former Spero’s Sports Pub and Grill have been excited to welcome owner Spero Demakes back to Danvers with his latest venture: Matty's Food & Spirits. The restauranter took a short "vacation from his crazy work weeks," before deciding it was time to jump back into the business, officially opening Matty's for business on June 7. Demakes described Matty's as "more of a restaurant atmosphere, that happens to have TVs at the bar," rather than your typical sports bar.
