Emotions Boil Over Following Drunken Driver Sentencing
Family members of a Danvers teen killed in a drunk driving accident in Salem earlier this year were outraged at the driver's sentencing on Thursday afternoon.
The family and friends of a Danvers teen killed in a car accident in Salem earlier this summer had some harsh words for the driver following her sentencing in Salem District Court Thursday afternoon. Angelique Griffin, 25, of Salem, pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of vehicular homicide and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The passenger in her vehicle, Dillon Renard, 19, was killed on June 16, when the PT Cruiser Griffin was driving crashed into a parked tow truck outside All Star Collision Center on Boston Street. A judge sentenced Griffin to serve two-and-a-half years in prison with a six-month home confinement, according to WHDH. Griffin told police Renard had been driving her vehicle for part of the …

I knew him for a few months as working across the way from him. he was the sweetest guy I have ever met. He did not deserve this neither did his family. This isn't fair. She should be in longer.just cause she pled guilty doesn't bring Dillon back.
