Christmas Day is behind us. The big holiday dinner has been eaten, the presents have been opened. But the Christmas tree is still set up and decorated. Wondering how you'll get rid of it? The Danvers town Christmas tree was moved from Brookwood Lane to Danvers Square on Tuesday.
A 30-foot tall Blue Spruce was moved from the Connors' yard on Brookwood Lane to in front of CVS in Danvers Square on Tuesday morning. Teh job was completed by workers from Blanchard Crane Service and the Danvers Department of Public Works with an escort from the Danvers Police Department. The 37-year-old tree was donated by the Connors family to the town of Danvers to serve as the town Christmas tree this year. The tree lighting will be on Dec. 1 from 2-5 p.m. Above, see a video of the move and a quick interview with the woman who donated the tree.

This year's Christmas tree in Danvers Square will be a 30 foot tall Blue Spruce.
This town of Danvers Christmas tree will be cut down and moved into place in Danvers Square on Tuesday. This year the tree will be donated by Richard and Margaret Connors of 7 Brookwood Lane. It is scheduled to be cut down on Tuesday, Nov. 13 by the Forestry Division of the Department of Public Works. This year's tree will be a 30 foot tall Blue Spruce. The cutting is scheduled to start at 7 a.m. Tuesday and the tree is expected to be in the Square by 9 a.m. It will be moved downtown on a flatbed and put into place in front of CVS with help from Blanchard Crane Service. The Danvers Electric Division and Danvers Police Department will also help with the move.
