'Ferncroft' Gets New Name, New Rooms

The largest hotel in Danvers completed it rebranding last week with the conversion to DoubleTree.

The hotel known to many as the Ferncroft has a new name – DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore. The conversion from CoCo Key Hotel Water Resort to DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore was completed last week, according to Saga Hospitality, the hotel operator for the past five years. “They chose us to stay on and manage the hotel,” said Jim Darter, Sage’s senior vice president of the full-service division. The Lighthouse Group owns the hotel. The plan to convert it from CoCo Key Hotel Water Resort to DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore was announced in January. High School Junior Wins Miss Massachusetts Teen at CoCo Key

Caitlin O’Neill, a junior at King Philip High School, won the title at the competition held in Danvers on Aug. 6.

Caitlin O’Neill was awarded the title of National American Miss Massachusetts Teen at a competition at CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort in Danvers on Aug. 6. O'Neill is a junior at King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham. In addition to earning the Massachusetts state title, Caitlin also won: Miss Personality (voted by her peers and her dad’s favorite)  Actress competition winner  Photogenic winner  Talent winner  Casual Wear Modeling -first runner up  Most Promising Model award  Best Thank You Note award  Most Recommendations award Cash awards and scholarship winnings plus a trip to Disneyland and a tour of Hollywood.
