The game time has been announced for Saturday's state championship game at the DCU center in Worcester.
The gametime for Saturday's boys basketball Division 3 state championship game is 12:30 p.m. It will be the second time in as many years that the boys basketball team from Danvers High School will be in the state championship. Last year, the Falcons beat St. Joseph's High School. This year, they will face Smith Academy, the western Massachusetts champions. Danvers won the north sectionals. Smith Academy (22-23), whose mascot is also the Falcons, advanced to the championship with a 72-56 win over Littleton. Danvers defeated south sectional champion Martha's Vineyard 50-47 on Tuesday night at TD Garden.

The Danvers High School boys basketball team takes on Martha's Vineyard Regional High School in the Division 3 state semifinals at TD Garden.
Danvers Patch brings you live updates on Tuesday afternoon from TD Garden in Boston as the Danvers High School Falcons boys basketball team takes on Martha's Vineyard Regional High School Vineyarders in the Division 3 state semifinals. Game time is 4:15 p.m. and live blog coverage will kick off at 3:45 p.m. Danvers (22-2) is the North sectional champion and defending state champion and meets Martha's Vineyard (18-5), the South sectional champion. The winner takes on the winner of the other semifinals on Saturday at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Danvers (13-6-4), is the No. 8 seed and arrives at the sectional championship after a big 4-3 win over No. 1 Beverly High School in the quarterfinals, plus wins over Somerville High School and Concord-Carlisle High School. Wilmington is the No. 3 seed. The Wildcats (19-3-2) arrive in the sectional championship as the defending champion with wins over Stoneham High School, Boston Latin and Lincoln-Sudbury High School. A win on Tuesday night sent the boys basketball team at Danvers High School to the Div. 3 North finals again this year.
Falcons fans will soon be very familiar with the trip to Tsongas Arena in Lowell. The Falcons boys basketball team (21-2) is again headed to the Div. 3 North finals there on Saturday - putting the team just one win away from returning to the Eastern Massachusetts championship. Saturday's game will be the first of two divisional championship games in three days for Danvers High School teams. The boys hockey team will play for the Div. 2 North championship on Monday night at the same place - Tsongas Arena in Lowell.
