Both candidates for the 13th Essex District seat in the Massachusetts House of Representaives voted at their respective polling places on Tuesday morning.
Both candidates the 13th Essex District in the state House of Representatives, representing Danvers, got their votes in early on Tuesday morning. State Rep. Ted Speliotis (D-Danvers) voted at about 8 a.m. in precinct 3 at the Thorpe Elementary School. He was accompanied by his wife, June and daughter Ashley. Later, Republican challenger Dan Bennett voted in precinct 1 at the Holten-Richmond Middle School at about 9:30 a.m. He was accompanied by several relatives, including his wife Janet and grandchild Ava. Both candidates are locked in a battle for the seat, which in addition to Danvers includes three precincts in West Peabody and about half of Middleton.
