Danvers Toddler Takes Diaper Derby Title [VIDEO]

The second annual Diaper Derby pitted the crawling skills on many North Shore babies on Saturday.

Quinn Doyle of Danvers raced to a win in the second annual Diaper Derby at Liberty Tree Mall on Sunday. The 11-month-old raced past about 40 other babies at the event. The race pitted crawling babies against each other in different heats through the morning. Each baby worked their way across padded mats on the floor in the Kohl's wing, with a parent, grandparent or friend at the start line and typically mom at the finish line with a binky, snack, balloon or other favorite item. Saturday's 'Diaper Derby' Has Spots for 72 Crawling Babies

The second annual Diaper Derby is returning to Liberty Tree Mall on Saturday.

Registration continues for this weekend's second annual Diaper Derby at Liberty Tree Mall, which is limited to the first 72 registered babies. Pre-registration is encouraged and is happening at the mall office located across from Carter’s. Registration closes at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16. Competitors must be crawlers under the age of 12 months and must not be walking yet. There will be six crawlers per heat and the winner from each heat will go for first, second and third prize. All three winners will receive a trophy at the award ceremony afterward. In addition to the crawling races, there will be other other activities before, during and after the races including vendor tables for family services, retailer coupons and promotions …
