Volunteers to Serve Christmas Meal to Homeless at Rt. 1 Hotel
A group of volunteers will serve Christmas dinner to homeless residents who live in a Danvers hotel.
Volunteers will serve breakfast Christmas morning to 100 homeless families living Extended Stay America in Danvers. The meal will be served from 8-11 a.m. inside two open rooms at the Route 1 hotel. The breakfast will include pancakes, fruit, coffee and juice. Local volunteers, led by Mark Pestana, his wife Allisha Zabelski and friend Jason Russell of Ipswich are partnering with the Danvers Community Council and several local businesses, including Custom Cup Caffe, Danvers Fresh Marketplace and POS Supply Solutions in Danvers and donations from The Weathervane Restaurant in and The Russell Orchards in Ipswich.
