Still Empty, What Could Fill the Former 'Tequilas' Builiding?

Tequilas restaurant and bar has been closed for more than three years and the Route 1 building has been empty.

It was more than three years ago that Tequila's, the bar and restaurant on Route 1, shut down. The building, next to Home Depot at the Route 114 westbound off ramp, has been empty since then. About a year ago, a few Danvers Patch readers suggested that another restaurant use would be ideal for the location, including either a brew pub or a Cracker Barrel - a southern-themed restaurant and country store. But the building remains vacant and on the market to this day. A former listing by Colliers International said that the property would be perfect for a restaurant, but also for a bank or other retail use.
