Movie Shot in Danvers To Air on Sunday

The Hallmark Hall of Fame movie that was partially filmed in Danvers last fall is scheduled to air for the first time on Sunday.

Remember when Andy's Sunnyside Bowladrome was converted into a movie set for a day last fall? The Water Street business became the setting last September for a scene in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie "The Makeover." And that movie will air for the first time on Sunday on ABC. In the scene shot in Danvers, Elliot Doolittle (played by David Walton) hosts a “Doolittle for Congress” event where he invited the public to come “bowl with their candidate,” the movie’s publicist, Ellen Nesselrode-Jasa, told Danvers Patch during the filming in September. Walton teaches Hannah Higgins (played by Julia Stiles), his political consultant, to bowl in “an embarrassingly funny scene in front of reporters and their cameras.” At the time, Nesselrode-Jasa …

Bowling Alley Becomes Setting for 'Hallmark' Movie Scene

The Sunnyside Bowladrome in Danvers became home to a crew that was filming a scene for a made-for-TV movie on Tuesday.

The Sunnyside Bowladrome became home to a scene from a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie on Tuesday. The bowling alley on Water Street, near the Peabody line, was transformed into a scene from “The Makeover” where Elliot Doolittle (played by David Walton) hosts a “Doolittle for Congress” event where he invited the public to come “bowl with their candidate,” according to the movie’s publicist, Ellen Nesselrode-Jasa.
