TV personality and actress Maria Menounos came to Danvers over the weekend as her first feature length film debuted.
TV personality Maria Menounos is now a movie star in “Adventures of Serial Buddies" - her first feature film. Menounos came to AMC Loews movie theater at Liberty Tree Mall on Saturday night as the movie premiered. She had dinner at Sasso at the North Shore Mall and then screened her film at Liberty Tree Mall. Angela Christoforos interviewed Menounos at the theater and posted the video to YouTube.

Boston area native Maria Menounos and cast and crew will be celebrating this week's release of their film "Adventures of Serial Buddies" Saturday night.
Medford native Maria Menounos and other cast and crew members of the film "Adventures of Serial Buddies" are in town to celebrate the opening of the film. Menounos will be at the AMC Loews movie theater at Liberty Tree Mall and have dinner at Scosso Ristorante & Bar over at the Northshore Mall. She will be at the Italian eatery Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate the U.S. release of their new film. The off-beat buddy comedy about none other than serial killers stars Henry Winkler, Christopher Lloyd, Beth Behrs and Kathie Lee Gifford as well, although Scosso owner Anthony Cavallo wasn't sure whether they would accompany Menounos to the party. The AMC Loews movie theater at the mall has been closed for four days because of issues related to the blizzard.
UPDATE Tuesday, 5 p.m.: AMC spokesman Ryan Noonan said that the theater will definitely reopen on Tuesday night. Original Story "Issues" related to this past weekend's blizzard have kept the AMC Loews movie theater at Liberty Tree Mall closed since Friday afternoon. Mall officials say the theater could reopen as soon as Tuesday afternoon. The theater closed at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 as the blizzard was moving into Danvers, according to a post on the AMC Facebook page. It did not reopen on Saturday and Sunday and one Danvers Patch user reported that she showed up there with her kids on Monday, when Danvers Public Schools and most other area schools had a snowday, and found it closed.
