Search Continues for Missing Lab Mix

A Lab mix dog has been missing near the Beverly-Danvers town line for the past few days.

A dog last seen near the Beverly-Danvers town line off Elliott Street has been missing for nearly a week. The Lab mix named Lucy is 4 years old and was last seen in the Ryal Side neighborhood of Beverly, off Route 62. She was seen at the intersection of Elliott Street and Goldsmith Avenue in Beverly, about three quarters of a mile east of the town line. She was last seen on Eden Glen Avenue in Danvers on Monday, according to comments posted below the Facebook posting of her missing poster, which has been shared more than 200 times. Lucy is black and white and weighs about 50 pounds. She has white tips of her paws and tail. Lucy is friendly but scared because she is lost, according to a lost dog notice posted online and on Facebook. Both …

Lost Shepherd Dog Last Seen Headed South on Rail Trail

An Australian Shepherd that has gone lost in Topsfield could possibly be headed south on the Danvers Rail Trail.

A 14-year old Australian Shepherd that has been missing for more than a week was last seen headed south toward Danvers. The dog, named Hogan, went missing from owner Dean Tzortzis’ home on Juniper Lane in Topsfield on Oct. 17. The street is off Route 97, just north of the Danvers town line and along the rail trail. There’s an electric fence at the house and Hogan was outside playing in the back yard, near the rail trail. He wandered south along the rail trail, as he usually does, and Tzortzis yelled to him and though he would return, as usual. But he hasn’t. Tzortzis took to Facebook this week, using the Moynihan Lumber page to get out the word about his lost dog. While Hogan is old, his hearing “is a little off” and he has mild arthritis…

Lost Dog Found Safe and Sound After Two Week Search

A pit bull that was missing for almost a week was found in Danvers on Friday.

It took weeks of searching by Tiger's owner and other concerned citizens, but the pit bull was finally found safe and sound in Danvers on Friday - albeit leaner and with a few scrapes. A member of Granite State Dog Recovery, which was helping in the hunt for Tiger, reports she was with the dog's owner, with a trap in hand to set it up in a Danvers yard where Tiger was seen the day before, when they suddenly came upon the missing pit bull. Tiger came out for the food they had left a short while before. His owner, Tom Baillie, a Peabody mailman, was able to coax the terrified dog over to him. They thought Tiger would bolt into the woods -- and he almost did -- but finally recognized his owner and came willingly. Tiger was first reported …
