More than 250 people attended Northeast Arc's Christmas party for individuals served by the Day Services division.
The Northeast Arc hosted a Christmas party last week at the Danversport Yacht Club for individuals served through the agency’s Day Services program. The event has become an annual tradition. Day Services provide a broad range of employment and day habilitation services for adults with disabilities, transition services for high school students with disabilities, and services like document destruction for the business community. More than 250 individuals served by Northeast Arc’s Day Services program were at the party to kick off the holidays with the organization.

Northeast Arc is joining colleagues throughout Massachusetts to advocate for human services funding.
More than 500 members of The Caring Force – including 50 employees from the Northeast Arc are expected to attend a rally at the State House in Boston on Monday, April 2. They will join their colleagues from across the Commonwealth and ask elected officials to fully fund human services and include a salary adjustment for low-paid direct care workers in the FY ’13 state budget. “This is a major event for the Northeast Arc and The Caring Force, a grassroots advocacy movement dedicated to protecting our vulnerable neighbors and creating a stronger economy with the pay, recognition, and respect our workers deserve,” said Jerry McCarthy, Executive Director, Northeast Arc. “We must let our legislators know how important this funding is to …
