Here's our round up of the latest food news in the area: Self-serve frozen yogurt has come to downtown Danvers. You pick your own flavors and toppings at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt. One 12-year-old who came in just after they opened made his with 1.5 pounds of froyo. The owner said he offered the kid a second one just as big if he could finish it. He ate 'em both. Orange Leaf Finds A Home On High Street

The franchise based out of California is a self serve frozen yogurt shop that is the third to open under owners James Alex and James Barberian.

James Alex and James Barberian are best friends who have more in common than just their first names, they are also business partners. The pair decided to start up an Orange Leaf franchise, and now have three frozen yogurt shops open and thriving. The first franchise opened in June of 2012, and is located in Lexington; shorty thereafter, they opened a second in Exeter, N.H. and now the third installment has finally opened after a few minor setbacks, in the location of the former Anthony's Deli in the Danvers square. The partners have a clearly defined recipe for success with the self serve yogurt chain, which is fairly new to the area, (although the concept has been around for a while), and the friends have designs on expanding further as …

Will Orange Leaf Still Open This October?

The Orange Leaf frozen yogurt shop planned to open in Danvers Square will not open this month as originally planned.

The Orange Leaf frozen yogurt shop that was originally planned to open this month in Danvers Square has bumped back its opening date to December. That's according to Meredith Lynn, spokeswoman for the frozen yogurt chain. Orange Leaf, an Oklahoma-based chain that serves fozen yogut with a topping bar that includes fruit and candy, first announced in June that it planned to open a new location at 2 High St. The retail storefront was most recently home to Anthony's Italian Deli. Orange Leaf's first location in the region opened in Salem in June. There is also a location in downtown Andover and Marblehead. The Danvers location is one of 11 new Orange Leaf locations that has opened or is planned to open in Massachusetts this year. When Orange …
