First Plowable Snow Expected, 'Old' Parking Rules Remain Through Monday
A few inches of snow are expected to accumulate on Saturday night in what will be the first accumulating snow of the winter.
The first significant accumulation of snow of the winter is expected on Saturday afternoon and evening, with at least a few inches expected in Danvers. The snow is expected to begin early Saturday afternoon and last through Sunday morning. A winter storm warning was issued early Saturday morning by the National Weather Service for noon Saturday through 7 a.m. on Sunday. The heaviest snowfall is expected between 5 p.m. on Saturday through 1 a.m. on Sunday. The storm will, of course, making driving difficult and reduce visibility. Travel will be slow at best on well treated surfaces and quite difficult on any unplowed or untreated surfaces,” the weather service said.
