Danvers Man Robbed By Wrench-Wielding Mugger at Mobile Home Park

A wrench-wielding robber went after the man on Monday afternoon on Route 1.

A Danvers man reported to the Peabody Police Department that he was assaulted and robbed by a wrench-wielding mugger at a mobile home park at 286 Newbury St. on Monday at 2:52 p.m. The victim said his wallet was stolen and described two suspects, both white males -- one brown-haired in a Bruins hat, the other blonde. He said they fled the scene in a blue Toyota Scion. After speaking with the man, an officer confirmed he was the victim of an armed robbery with a wrench. Police drove the man back to his residence on Chase Street in Danvers.

Man Has Change of Heart, Doesn't Press Charges After Robbery at Knifepoint

A man was robbed in downtown Peabody on Saturday night and appeared to know the culprit from Danvers.

Peabody police say a man had a change of heart and decided not to press charges against a Danvers man after being robbed at knifepoint Saturday night in the downtown. Police responded to the area of Winter and Mason streets in Peabody at 8:27 p.m. after a caller reported he was robbed by a male with a knife. He said the incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. The victim also identified the suspect by name and said he lives in Danvers. He told police the robber was in a blue Sport Utility Vehicle and possibly headed toward Danvers. Danvers police were notified and said they would check the suspect's residence. The victim, however, then told Peabody officers he "had a change of heart" and didn't want to press charges.

Pet Store Robbed on Tuesday Night

A pet store was robbed by a man who demanded money from a clerk on Tuesday night.

A pet store in Danvers Plaza was robbed on Tuesday night. The robbery was reported at 6:20 p.m. when a male between 40 and 50 years old entered the Pet Life store at 301 Newbury St. (Route 1) and came up behind the clerk, demanding that they give him money. The clerk handed over an unspecified amount of money and nobody was hurt, said Danvers Police Officer Eric Clarizia. As of late Tuesday night, there were no arrests in connection with the robbery. The robbery was classified as an unarmed robbery since no weapon was shown, although it was alluded that he may possibly have a weapon. The robber was described as being 6 feet, 2 inches tall or taller, thin, with a clean shave and strawberry blonde hair. He was wearing a green hooded …
