Man Faces Heroin Charge After Acting Suspiciously in Bank

A man acting suspiciously near a Danvers bank on Thursday was tracked down in Lynnfield, where he was arrested for allegedly possessing heroin.

A man who was acting suspiciously around a Danvers Square bank on Thursday afternoon was arrested less than two hours later for allegedly possessing heroin. It started at about 4 p.m. when an alert employee at North Shore Bank on Elm Street saw a man looking in the bank windows. The man also came in to the bank and left without conducting any business, said Danvers Police Sgt. Robert Bettencourt. That prompted a call to police. The man was gobe when police arrived but police asked other police departments in the area to be on the lookout for the vehicle the man was driving, a Nissan Maxima. Man Found Passed Out in Supermarket Lot Charged With OUI Drugs

A Danvers man faces charges after an incident in the parking lot of a supermarket in Peabody on Tuesday.

A 20-year-old Danvers man was issued a court summons for driving under the influence of drugs, following a report of suspicious activity at Stop & Shop in Peabody on Tuesday. A caller at 2:53 p.m. reported a male was passed out behind the wheel of his car, which was parked out in the store lot. The man, who was not named by police, was taken by ambulance to Salem Hospital and his car was towed. The above information came from the Peabody Police Department press log from Jan. 8-9.
