A man broke into a Danvers home on Thursday while a resident was home.
Police scoured a Danvers neighborhood for a suspect in a midday home break-in on Thursday. It all started at about 12:30 p.m. when police received a call from a resident on North Street, near Calumet Road, reporting that someone was breaking in to her home. “The homeowner was home when someone tried to break-in,” said Danvers Police Capt. Patrick Ambrose. The homeowner was not injured. The suspect got away and police continued to investigate, as of Thursday afternoon. “We believe the suspect was able to get back to the vehicle,” Ambrose said. A Stoneham woman and a Danvers man that allegedly tried to break into a Marblehead Street home in North Reading Thursday were released from jail following their respective arraignments Friday in Woburn District Court.
