Where are You Going Sledding on Sunday?

Sunday is shaping up to be a perfect day to go sledding. Where are you headed?

The sun is out. There's two feet of snow on the ground. And most kids have been pent up at home for two days. Sounds like time to go sledding. Where are you headed? Endicott Park tops the list for many people in Danvers. And it's a great spot. But what are some of the other favorites? Share them in our comments section. Have some great shots of the family and kids out on the sledding hill? Share your photos here. Click on the green and white "upload photos and videos" button above to add them.

Ice Cream Breakfast Benefit Planned for Saturday

This year's "Ice Cream for Breakfast" fundraiser at Cherry Farm Creamery will benefit the Danvers Dog Park.

Maybe you've quietly replaced Cheerios and toast with ice cream once or twice at breakfast time. This Saturday, you won't have to do it secretly and you'll have a great excuse. Dog Park Inks First Major Corporate Donor

People's United Bank recently donated $2,500 toward the $30,000 fundraising goal for a Danvers Dog Park.

The planned Danvers dog park at Endicott Park has received its first large donations from a local company. Friends of Danvers Dog Park announced this week that People's United Bank became the park's first major sponsor with a donation of $2,500 to the project. Friends of Danvers Dog Park Chairperson, Carla King, recently brought Kevin Noyes of People's United Bank, and his dogs Otta and Hannah, to park's site at Endicott Park. The Friends of Danvers Dog Park have raised $20,000 toward the estimated $30,000 it will take to complete the park. For more information, visit the Friends of Danvers Dog Park website at www.friendsofdanversdogpark.com or contact King at carla.king@comcast.net.

That's great- it will offer a place to legally allow dogs off leash. I do hate it when people walk around Plains Park with their dogs off leash. They are breaking the laws and their dogs often run after or follow people who don't want anything to do with their dogs.   more ›

Photos: Family Fun At Endicott Park Day

A look at Danvers Family Festival's annual Endicott Park Day.

Ice cream, bouncy houses, face painting, cookie contests and a whole lot of kids made up the annual Endicott Park Day, held on Saturday June 30.  As part of the day's celebration, the tenth annual Scoop Ahh Bowl was held in the afternoon, featuring ice cream and cold treats from Putnam Pantry, Goodies, Cherry Farm Creamery, and more.  If you have photos from Endicott Park Day, be sure to get them ready for our Add Your Own Family Festival Photo Gallery, coming Monday morning.
