A Danvers native is in critical condition with brain trauma after being struck by a hit-and-run driver last weekend in South Carolina, according to a report by WIS-TV. Lindsay Bires, 24, is a 2006 Danvers High School graduate, according to her Facebook page. She recently moved to South Carolina with her boyfriend for work as a nurse, her boyfreind, Dan Powers, told the TV station. She works at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia and was standing on a sidewalk near the hospital at 3 a.m. on Sunday when she was struck, WIS reported.
