Brian Kelly's FIAT dealership completed the move from Danvers last week and is now located at the former Lincoln-Mercury dealership across from the Northshore Mall in Peabody.

A new wind turbine will go on top of a new car dealership building now under construction along Route 114.
Danvers could be getting its first electric-producing wind turbine next summer at a Route 114 car dealership. The Zoning Board on Monday approved plans to put a turbine on top of the new Kelly Volkswagen dealership at 72-74 Andover St. While there is nowhere in the Danvers zoning bylaw that regulates wind turbines, attorney Nancy McCann said that the turbine will conform to the sections of the bylaws regulating antenna height. “It is something that is a growing trend,” she said of the turbine. The electricity generated from the turbine will power the service area lighting in the building and may also power the site lighting, depending on the bulb fixtures, she said. Kelly Automotive Group plans to construct a new Volkswagen dealership, and move Fiat to a proposed location in Peabody.
Danvers-based Kelly Automotive is in the midst of expansion plans to its current slate of dealerships along Route 114, and with a thumbs up from the town's Planning Board last week, the group is one step closer. Kelly Automotive's plan is to demolish their existing Fiat dealership and will construct the Volkswagen dealership in its place. Town Planner Kate Day told the Boston Globe, the dealership will be a 32,177 square foot building on the 4.7-acre site.
