A man was taken by medical helicopter to Boston on Wednesday night after suffering severe trauma from a fall.
Boston MedFlight was called to Danvers on Wednesday night for a man in his 60s who had an accident at a home in town. Danvers Fire Department and Lyons Ambulance were called to a home on Weeks Road at about 5 p.m. A man there suffered “severe trauma” after an accidental fall in the home. “He ended up needing to be transported into Boston,” said Danvers Fire Department Lt. Ken Reardon. Boston MedFlight was called and landed a medical helicopter at the Highland Elementary School field at about 5:30 p.m. The man was taken in to Boston Medical Center.

A 32-year-old Danvers woman was seriously injured when a vehicle struck her on Thursday morning, Danvers Police said in a post on its Facebook page at 10:15 a.m. The crash occurred on Maple Street, in an area that is also Route 62, near the intersection with Burley Avenue at the foot of Lindall Hill at 7:30 a.m. No charges have been filed in connection with the crash. It was not immediately clear if the pedestrian was trying to cross the street at the time of the crash or whether she was in a crosswalk. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian was driven by a 44-year-old woman from Danvers. She remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators, police said.
