Danvers Says 'That's My Boy'

"That’s My Boy" and "Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted" were the top two most rented movies at Redbox kiosks in Danvers in the past week.

Adam Sandler’s “That’s My Boy” was the most rented movie at Redbox locations in Danvers was in the past week. Other recent releases “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted,” “The Avengers,” “Snow White and the Huntsman,” and “Dark Shadows” wee all near the top.  “The Five Year Engagement,” which was on top two weeks ago, settled into No. 6.  “The Dictator” and “Three Stooges” had been in the Top 20 for several weeks and each one dropped off the list this week. Nine movies – “The Unknown,” “Katy Perry: Part of Me,” “The Avengers,” “The Tall Man,” “Think Like a Man,” “Battleship (Blue-Ray),” “The Samaritan,” “The Five-Year Engagement (Blue-Ray),” “Peace, Love and Misunderstanding” and “Séance: The Summoning” all fell out of the top 20. Newly Released 'Battleship" is No. 1 Local Rental

A look at the top movie rentals in the past week from the Redbox kiosks in Danvers.

What movies has Danvers been renting? In the past week, the most rented movie at Redbox locations in Danvers was “Battleship,” which burst onto the top of the list of most rented movies in its first week of release. Other movies such as “The Cabin in the Woods,” “What To Expect When You’re Expecting,” “Safe,” Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax,” and “The Hunger Games” all remained in just about the same spots at the top. Other new releases, “The Tall Man” and “Life Happens” also were in the top 20. Six movies – “Silent House,” “American Reunion,” “6 Bullets,” “21 Jump Street,” “Mirror, Mirror,” and “Safe House” all fell from the top 20. I’m not surprised that Cabin in the Woods is number one since it’s one of the best horror movies I’ve seen in years. The ending was very original, and unexpected. It proves that Joss Whedon is a creative genius! Since I had it on my Blockbuster @Home queue, I exchanged for it at my Blockbuster and saw it the week it came out.
