Power Outage Due to Blown Transformer on Holten Street

Residents in the area of Holten Street and extending over to St. John's Prep were in the dark Thursday night.

According to reports, power was knocked out due to a blown transformer along Holten Street sometime around 8 p.m. Danvers Electric was on the scene making repairs and power was reportedly restored at least near the Prep around 9 p.m.

Residents taking to social media, indicated power was also out around the downtown area and was still out around 10 p.m.

The outage was the second for the day. Utility crews were also working on an outage around 3 p.m.
