Police Investigating Robbery at Knifepoint at Dunkin' Donuts

Police say a man entered the store on Route 114 and brandished a knife at an employee before making off with cash.

Danvers police are still following up leads on an armed robbery at a Dunkin' Donuts in town Sunday afternoon.

Police Capt. Patrick Ambrose said the suspect is a male who brandished a knife at an employee and made off with cash. The incident occurred at approximately 3:55 p.m. on Sunday at the Dunkin' Donuts on Route 114 (79 Andover St.).

Ambrose said the suspect got into a black Jeep Wrangler with another occupant and drove off on Route 114 headed toward Middleton.

No one was injured in the incident.

According to initial reports at the time, the person driving the Jeep was a female and there was a child in the backseat.

The male suspect was described as tall, caucasian, bearded and and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. Tatoos were also visible.
